Caricature Dump

A couple of guitar heroes. She wanted her tattoo in the picture though, so I had to make her just dancing. I was drawing bodies really bad that day.

Kung Fu bodies! And on the day I was drawing horrible backgrounds! Look at the woman's right leg! What the fuuuuucccckkkk?

Every time I draw a fat person people say "Wow, you love to draw fat people". I guess I am a little mean to them.

I love to draw fat people.

Indian couple. Those shawls can be hard to draw since they go down to the body and the body is so small.

Caricature Dump

"Draw us with stars" "Umm, okay, but, there needs to be a setting... like, something you need to actually be doing in the picture" "Oh! Then, draw us under the sky, at night, with stars" "No, I mean, you need to be somewhere, like the beach, or-" "Yeah! he beach with stars!"

"Draw us in a car" "Alright" "And give it an external hood engine thing" "....alriiight"  "And don't make me fat" "...We'll see"

These people were sooooo excited about getting a caricature and then soooo disappointed when they saw it. That always happens. I love it.

I lost my brown marker and had to do the eyes with my airbrush. I hate it.

I don't even know why I'm posting this one.

Cooking and videogames. Specifically strategy games and RPGs. So awesome.

Here's a close up of the little video game character.

Black Attack

Father and daughter combo. I think I got his smuggish expression.

I don't have anything to say about this one.

These people were really, really awesome. I wish I could have hung out with that dude after work. They had no neck; just faces that melted into their bodies. I wish I had drawn it that way.

This one looks really, really weird. But it looked like 'em.

These folks were there for the Frito Lay private party. I asked what they liked to do in their free time and they said "eat potato chips!" I swore up and down to myself that I would not draw that woman with her hand backwards, and lo and behold it's backwards. I have no control over these things. I just lay back and watch them happen. I really like that drawing of the woman.

Only the Lonley 1 Persons

The overspray on this one was not so pronounced on the actual caricature. Enhancing the photo in Photoshop exaggerated it. She liked the book Left Behind.

This guy was really cool. He wanted to be drawn as a cop with some really impressive gun that I have no idea what it was. So I drew him busting an illegal cock-fighting ring. He loved it, but I don't think his girlfriend "got it". That's me with my hands up.

Speaking of his girlfriend, this is that same guy and his girlfriend tomorrow. Do you know how hard it is to draw something as complex as a cop car without being able to erase? Also, her head is backwards but I think it works.

I was just turning around to tell this girl that I wasn't going to have time to draw any more when she blurted out "can you draw a platypus?". I told her to sit down right in front of me. Apparently she had a pet platypus. Is that legal?

Fat Spiderman.

This flamboyantly gay man said that his nickname was "Sunshine" and he wanted me to put that in there. He also liked to play the Saxophone and liked going to Jazz clubs. The picture drew itself.

Caricature Dump

 Cave Man Brow

Like the girl's face.

Adam and Eve. They said they had gotten one last year and had it redrawn. From the looks I got after I gave it to them, I think they were considering having this redrawn as well.

An exercising couple. I think I offended the woman. Heck, I was nice to her.

Weird Post

It was VERY IMPORTANT that this guy had a backwards hat and a pose with his mouth open. He also said he liked to paint. Then when I asked him what he painted he said he didn't know. The man had NO IDEA what kind of things he liked to paint, but he loved painting.

I liked the bodies. Lots of different things, one background.
Really crooked, weird caricature. I just posted it because I like the guy on the left.

On this one I liked the guy on the one guy so much and hated the rest so much that I just cropped him out. I know it's a cheat and I promise to barely ever do this.

Like the drawing, but the photo was too dark.

Black Eyes for Guys

Here's a bunch of 2 person caricatures I did a few weeks ago but never got around to uploading.

I like this one. The kids were fighting the entire time I drew this, so I drew her kickin' the ball at his face. I don't think the parents or the kids noticed.

I just liked the body on this one. The faces are kind of generic.

There was not enough room for these people on this paper and that's all there was to it. They both had gigantic heads with eyeballs ludicrously far apart.

I don't care for the guy in this drawing, but the girl looked just like that.

Kids!

Long time no update! I've drawn quite a few since last time. Here's a few kids from the pile.

I had just drawn a really bad Superman body, and so I tried to get this one to fit entirely on the page. I love to draw fat kids.

This kid was the brother of the other kid. He was also a fat kid, but he looked pretty different than his brother. I tried to accentuate his saggy jaw line. This is the first 1 person male beach body I've ever drawn. I meant to make that girl a real human girl, but I draw mermaids so much that it came out as a mermaid by accident. Oh well.

This girl wanted to look just like the Brittany Spears caricature we have on the wall. I decided not to give her the big boobs but I gave her the snake. I kept the airbruhsing really light to be more "pastel-y" and girly.

This kid had funny hair and I drew it funny. I wouldn't have taken a picture of this caricature except for the fact that I think it's funny that I gave him two thumbs on one of his hands. Couldn't figure out a way to fix that one.

Caricatures of Late

Whoa, this internet caricature blog thing has really blown up lately! First Dan, then me, and now it turns out two more of my friends and fellow co-workers have created caricature blogs as well! Check out Lauren Hale's and Jessica Hale's immediately. They are awesome.
On to the art.

This is actually from about two weeks ago but I forgot to post it. I really like it, although the body is kind of non-sensical. Batman is doing more of a Darkwing Duck thing here. Anyway, airbrushing and likeness were good here, and I seemed to really nail the 3/4ths. Go me.

I would first like to point out that int he actual drawing there was airbrushing on this girl's face to help distinguish her features. The flash just killed it. This caricature's all about the dad anyway. He had some amazingly weird, awesome facial hair. If this man could have spoken two words of english I'd have totally loved to hear his life story. And perhaps become a part of it?

Nothing much to say here. I was mostly just trying to make up for the sorry dinosaur body I did last time. Girl on the left had really weird red/brown eyes.

This girl had the worst reaction I've gotten in all month! I think she really hated it. I don't know why, I think I nailed her and made her look pretty at the same time. It was probably her mole. Oh well. I give people what they give me.

Caricatures from July 25th

Lots of good ones today. Normally these posts are made up from multiple days, but not this time.

When you're an awesome dude you get an awesome caricature. That's about all there is to it.

Merely average citizens get awesome caricatures sometimes too. Bad photo, forgive the white face and dark body/hair. I think this one is my most succesful attempt at 3/4ths so far. It also shows a greater influence from Gaber than any of my other ones so far.

I decided to have more fun with the dragon than anything else on this one. I just want to say, the drawing of that guy looked EXACTLY like him. I like this one a lot. The photo makes it look like his right cheek was darker or blown out by the airbrush, but it's just because of the photo.

First one of the day. Ignore everything on it except for the face of the girl on the left. She had a kind of an under-bitey smile that I effin' nailed. I also globbed on the scenester makeup, of course.

I hate drawing groups of three ore more. I have such a ludicrously hard time making things not turn out crooked or slanted as it is, but when you have me drawing all these faces in a giant sea of blank space I go crazy. Either things get real wonky or I chicken it out and play everything so safe that it rarely looks like them. So to make a long story longer, I won't be posting many groups on the site here.

What I may do sometimes is post a bit of a group caricature. Here's part of a 5-person I did today. The face was alright, but the Marlin stole the show. I loved drawing that little bug-eyed dude. I'm pretty sure you shouldn't try to catch those with a standard fishing pole.
